Over The Threshold

There is nothing like returning home from where ever or from doing whatever. Even though you have spent countless hours staring, admiring, fussing, cleaning and sometimes complaining about, it is still a focal point of safety to you. There is a unique scent to your home and no matter how crazy the world outside that door gets you know once you turn the knob or handle and cross over the threshold it’s like falling into a cool pool on a hot summer’s day or cozying up near a roaring fire from being outside in zero degree temperatures.

Most people spend lots of money and exert lots of energy into finding ways to get out of the house which is not a bad idea. I’m sure if the walls could talk they would moan and groan about seeing you way too much, well I know mine would. Leaving for work I swear sometimes I heard the spirit of my cubical nook sigh in relief and after eight or so hours away I would walk in and almost feel hugged and everything that resembled chaos returned to homeostasis.

Sometimes our castle despite its size or how its dressed up or whether we share our living space with others has elements of chemistry or a connection with us. It’s not that farfetched to say that we can pick up vibes which either draw us in and anchor us down to a particular place or cast out lower vibrations and clash with us from the second we move in which of course makes us move to somewhere more cohesive. Yes, sometimes location and affordability dictate where we set camp but the bottom line is that some people constantly move around not allowing their spiritual vibes to synch with the place of residence and then there are people like me who develop a relationship with where they live and get that ahhhh moment upon entering the door.
