Plastic and Pearls
I noticed how you try
so hard
Accepted plastic bobbles for genuine pearl
I have heard your frustration
Then watched you toil and spoil your time away
Spending time with those with a half heart and mind
Yet you color them suitable but they are still not the one
You are surround by various versions
Grow angry as your options seem to shrink
You teeter between
worthy and unworthy
You set goals and standards but often don’t follow through
It’s in you and has always been in you, lonely hunter
You are worthy and your goals your desires are not out of
reach
Don’t settle for imitation
Wait for the pearl
