In The Right Context

I think about you sometimes

In the context of near and far

I wonder about your past and present

What makes you smile

Who you spend time with

And out of concern, how you are

I look over my shoulder

At all the people and conversations

You were part of so many

Was I in any of yours?

Did anyone in your life knew of my existence?

There was a time when the mere mention of your name

Started fires and brought tears to my eyes

I can speak your name and laugh now

I use how you treated me both good and bad

To measure what I want and never want again

I think about you sometimes
