Being Selective Now
I grow leery of extremes
And those who capitalize on fear
I am tired of being diplomatic in understanding
And less likely now more than ever to let my brow down
I don’t give a damn what god you pray to
But if your jacket of religion thinks senseless slaughter
will gain
A higher seat to your god
If you honestly believe that breeding hate and terror is the
answer
Then yes I will less likely be less open to weed through the
wicked
To accept the handful of good
Be more likely to broad stroke all into that extreme
I don’t like being so picky who I break bread with
I don’t like how now when I see names associated with The
Middle East
I cringe and ponder what side of the sword they’re on
