From The Pewter Cup
I laid down
in the fire
I rolled
myself in the flames
I knew the
difference between right and wrong
And knew the
rules before playing the games
I drank from
the pewter cup
This drink I
had before
It burned
the lining of my throat
But I
returned and I asked for more
This coven
of uneasiness
Is a spell I
whispered in the dark
To me I was
just passing time
Never thinking
it would leave such a mark
