Healing Tears
Sometimes life, our own or someone we love
Is measured and remembered by the good and the bad
And clung to in desperation during a time of loss
We know that as we weep and try to make sense
Try to reason how and why
Try to find something, anything to restore things back to
normal
There will be no answers offered
None of logic
Nor spiritual
That will bring any kind of comfort or
Bring things to where they once were
From overwhelming hurt
That tears cannot erase
To inflamed anger
How? Why?
Trying to claim guilt
If only, I should have, why didn’t I?
Then back to feeling numb and empty
The hurt will never leave you but the intensity will
