Different Jackets Same Mind

I wonder what your life was like

Before it got weathered by life’s circumstance

Were you loud and proud?

Were you reserved and not heard?

I think about how different

Our lifestyles, upbringing and geographic differences

If I drew a line across would they mirror?

Though our jackets will never match

Our minds mimic and tell a story

Neither magic or mystery but

More of divine destiny

Not meant to see

Not meant to touch

But to take a small stitch in time

To find rest and extract memories

Buried beneath
