Thank You

I have taken you for granted

Not said thank you nearly enough

I have cursed sometimes your existence

And during the moments I felt insecure

I got all ugly and acted tough

I haven’t given all that I could

Not opened up I held back some on reserve

I waded through pools of propaganda

And not gave to you what you deserve

I am not nearly half

Of what you are to me

Let me be your ears so you can enjoy the music

Allow me to be your eyes

Painting pictures with my words so you can see

Every kiss

Every hug

Or unspoken verse of gratitude

I shake your hand

I break a bow

Just out of mere respect

Thank You
