By the People For the People

Freedom means different things to everyone of course having free will and freedom some will argue the deviation between the two. I think and believe that I have free will in which to build and prosper. I have the freedom of choice to buy what I want and it’s my choice on how I keep entertained, providing of course that it doesn’t harm or step on someone else. I may have the freedom of speech behind me to write something for all to read but deep down how free is it? The truth is with the government allowing open and free access to all my phone calls and texts and emails and social media being the vehicle in which they nosey in and allow everyone from potential employers to getting a discount card at a local supermarket.

I was going to do a long winded rant about what freedom means to me but I got distracted and went on to other things. I got frustrated because what I really wanted to vent I felt would be best just to think it feel and let it go or step away from it until I could better phrase it. As I was about to leave my computer’s side it came to me.

Between the civil war and the war that gave us our freedom from British rule we were once a country pretty much on the same page and the foundation of this country was supposed to be for the people by the people. I don’t know when the tables got turned or why we got so divided into political parties. We are now the government’s puppets and very little of what we think or feel, I mean the real people not the big wigs with all the money that control this country. It doesn’t matter anymore who plays president it all ends up the same. By the people For the people ?

More like for the government by the government.

Swallowing an Elephant

You know that joke/riddle How do you eat an elephant? A-One bite at a time. For most that seems to be the most logical. The elephant is quite large and nobody can just pop one in their mouth but oddly enough there are people out there that want you to over tax your system trying to get one down in one bite. Breathing

When someone asks me how I am I usually respond with okay which means nothing bad or good is going on. When things aren’t so okay I reply with “I’m barely breathing” which means I’m highly stressed out over something. When I listen to meditation videos they always start out with deep breathing, at first, I thought it was kind of silly to concentrate so much on breathing. I also started to notice my breathing when I was stressed out or intensely involved in something. I have two destructive breathing patterns that take place, I either over breath or shallow breathe; sometimes I even subconsciously hold my breath. None of the three poor breathing methods make a happy functioning body. It’s funny to have to learn how to breath properly because it’s something we do automatically.    With some unknown allergies or on and off sinus issues I already face upper repertory struggles at times.
