Step Back into the Light
Sometimes what we want most
Seems further from our grasp
If money can’t buy it
Or desperation can’t secure it
Then timing and attitude
Double dipped in patience
Must be a mental, physical and spiritual process
Not everything created or pleasing to the eye
Is meant to be in our possession
Not all positions whether they yield high profit
Or gain us favor amongst family and friends
Are where we need to be
Leaning into fear and letting go of control
Allowing all hurt and anger past and present
Bind with unseen negative forces tuck us in
And hold us under
Yes, it’s easier to focus on what’s missing
And hold tightly to a need
Learning to step over disappointments
And brushing off what others may think
Seems further from our grasp
If money can’t buy it
Or desperation can’t secure it
Then timing and attitude
Double dipped in patience
Must be a mental, physical and spiritual process
Not everything created or pleasing to the eye
Is meant to be in our possession
Not all positions whether they yield high profit
Or gain us favor amongst family and friends
Are where we need to be
Leaning into fear and letting go of control
Allowing all hurt and anger past and present
Bind with unseen negative forces tuck us in
And hold us under
Yes, it’s easier to focus on what’s missing
And hold tightly to a need
