Crashing Fear
how I stood in your shadow
and thought that this was right
how I tried to conform
and wished my days turn into night
so I could close my eyes and sleep
and dream the life I wish I had
trading the moments that made me smile
for the ones that made me sad
yes, you snatched the rose from my grasp
and laughed as I lay bleeding
you lead me to believe with no hope
as you capitalized on my needing
But now the tables have turned
and you hold little power
I was given a tiny seed I forgot I planted
and now I am that flower
and thought that this was right
how I tried to conform
and wished my days turn into night
so I could close my eyes and sleep
and dream the life I wish I had
trading the moments that made me smile
for the ones that made me sad
yes, you snatched the rose from my grasp
and laughed as I lay bleeding
you lead me to believe with no hope
as you capitalized on my needing
But now the tables have turned
and you hold little power
I was given a tiny seed I forgot I planted
and now I am that flower
