Waiting it out
some people are blessed to have grasped what their purpose in life is. What ever their "it" is came naturally and without very little effort or waiting. From vocation to love their life has pretty much been a smooth sail. They have had a few upsets along the way but they had connections and ways to over come them, For those of us who came out of the womb struggling we seem to spend a great deal of time waiting for our time in the sun while watching everyone around us who appear to have it all. Funny, how in a society that has everything appearance of stability often gives on lookers the wrong impression. Sometimes that's what people who seem to have all their shit together is like; they have money and lots of stuff and the freedom to dig themselves further in a hole.
We all think that everyone around us who is doing better than we are financially, emotionally or has been able to give and receive love without taking a life long study course; we are happy for their success yet disgruntle because it hasn't happened for us....yet. Whether we rolled up our sleeves and tried our hardest or passively took honest jabs at trying to change a hopeless situation, we wait and go through the motions. It does get discouraging at times to see people around us get handed opportunities to enhance their lives while we fight battles just to get up out of bed in the morning.
Our perception of the people in and around our lives is limited to what they expose to us. More often than not we see their triumphs, trophies and rewards feeding the flames of envy very rarely hearing about any struggle, strife or defeats.
Like I said, some are blessed right from the start knowing what direction to take and having doors open for them to make it all happen while others definitely have something to offer but stumble through out their life trying to find that key to unlock doors. The hardest part of finding out what your place is in this world is is waiting and letting things happen. I'm not saying if you're out of a job not to actively look or with out a mate not to be open to possibilities but you can't make happen something not in the cards to happen just because you want it to happen. It is way too easy to settle for something just to get by on or to dodge what you think other people may think.
