Above and Beyond
We think of life as something passed along to us and death of something to fear. We strive on a daily basis to secure our physical standing, we try to follow faith base teachings and find happiness regardless of our surroundings. Our physical bodies although some are born with disabilities are pretty much pristine vessels and we spend a lot of time and energy either maintaining it to look and reflect like someone else or making due with what we have and wishing we had the physical attributes of people admired and adorned.
We do get hung up on what we look like on the outside. It’s like we get so focused on having the perfect skin tone, height and weight ratio and whether we can enter a room and have heads turn. Why is it that we take such time in addressing the physical and just breeze over the spiritual, the soul? We are not here to compete against each other for the best looking, the most educated or how much money we make or even who has the most friends or…….who has managed to work the system to have the best of everything that money can buy.
There is more to our existence here in the physical that scares us about dying and what happens not only during the process of dying but what takes place after. Stepping over faith based beliefs , our souls don’t die just the vessel it was using to learn and correct mistakes or overcome blockages that prevent us from moving higher up spiritually. I know, not everyone can wrap their mind around this but life here in the flesh is not what we all think it is and neither is death. All death is is a disconnection from one level to another. I don’t know where this new dimension is that we ascend into once we exit out of our flesh. If you want to attach religious beliefs, Heaven and Hell even Purgatory to your next learning destination then so be it but even they are not about laying about reminiscing of the trials and tribulations.
All I’m trying to get at is , is that some of us are so wound up in having the perfect body, attaining a high end job that pulls in high end toys that tricks us into believing that by attaining everything that is what life is about. Yes, having nice things and being able to afford them is great. Family and relationships all patches that make up the fabric of our lives and should be the foundation. We have gotten so busy and so focused on attaining the physical that most will step over any kind of spiritual and mock or roll their eyes at those that do. Just saying that there is more to our existence than what we can read or write or even explain.
