Space Probing
Thinking outside the comfort zone of Earth's hemisphere many people including myself take for granted. We breathe because of oxygen, we are able to control our movements because of gravity, those two things alone make our existence . I saw the movie Gravity and it blew my mind and made me appreciate not only this planet but all the men and women who have dedicated their time and energy to go way beyond the perimeter of earth to broaden our horizons. With all the breath taking shots of Earth and space in this movie, the quiet eeriness , wow. I bet we all watch space exploration and think why so much money being dumped into what seems a useless project, I know I used to roll my eyes at every attempt to conquer the moon. I even shook my head when moving computers invaded Mars thinking why are we probing a planet us humans will never ever get to.
It has always boggled my mind that there are 9 planets in our solar system(I still count Pluto) and out of the 9 we are the only planet exhibiting life? I guess that leaves room for debate on whether it's a grand design or accident because outside of Jupiter none of the other planets serve a purpose to us anyways so why are they there? Why are we trying to figure out Mars? If by chance we find a nearby planet with oxygen and water and gravity do we start setting up real estate and ruin that planet with taking and not giving back like we do here? Or, are we just curious and want to find out why the other planets exists.
Anyways, because of the statil lights and space stations our field of communication has us connecting with people all over the globe through our computers and smart phones. We sugar as hell have come a long way. Who would have thought landing on the moon would have cut the ribbon and advanced us so far.
I loved the movie Gravity. I made me appreciate having gravity and oxygen, lol
